Programmes
Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (PSUAD) offers Humanities and Social Sciences programmes that carry the same curricula as in Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV). Furthermore, PSUAD – in collaboration with Université Paris-Descartes – offers Law and Political Science. The university offers an Intensive French Course that lasts for a year for those with no prior knowledge in French, in preparation for their enrolment in the bachelor Degrees. The professors teaching at Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi are the same renowned professors currently teaching at Paris-Sorbonne and Paris-Descartes, in Paris. Some travel to Abu Dhabi to teach intensive courses for a short duration of a few weeks. All Professors and staff are committed to providing the same world-class education in Abu Dhabi as they provide in Paris.

Residence Life

Library
PSUAD library has the capacity of 200,000 titles, adding 20,000 new titles every year. Titles are available in French, English, German, Arabic, Italian and Spanish. The floor area is 4400 m2 and the seating capacity is 400. (Click for Library)

Highlighting the importance of dialogue between cultures, and the exchange of knowledge, PSUAD organizes all year round lectures, round table discussions and colloquia hosting renowned experts from the region and beyond to shed the light on key aspects and phenomena in a wide range of fields. Most of these functions are open to public and provide simultaneous translation into Arabic and English.

Université Paris – Sorbonne; one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. Its counterpart in Abu Dhabi is dedicated to become a centre for research and cultural activities. The research programmes at PSUAD benefit from the world class research work carried out in the field of humanities and social sciences at Université Paris-Sorbonne and Paris-Descartes. Upon completion of their undergraduate studies in Abu Dhabi, students will be able to choose whether to carry on with one of the Master programmes in Abu Dhabi or to join one of the departments in Paris where some of the world’s most renowned professors will guide them through their research, covering fields as varied as medieval Islam, intercultural processes, travel literature, national and international geopolitics and will allow each student to find support wherever their field of interest is.
