Welcome to Admissions page—the first step in your journey through Paris-Sorbonne University—Abu Dhabi! The material here will guide you in the process of completing all requirements to apply and compete for Admission to this prestigious University. Please contact us if you have any inquiries—and we hope to see you as part of Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.
The basic requirement to apply for the University is a secondary school completion certificate. We will accept applications regardless of nationality, gender, or religion. Even if you have been out of school for few years, you are welcome to apply. Students will be accepted for admission on a competitive basis. Early admission decisions will be made for those students exceptionally well qualified
Registration Procedures

Registration is throughout the whole year; it is divided into two steps:
1.  Administrative registration: This step is necessary for the student to be listed as a PSUAD student, in order to get their student ID, to pay the tuition fees, to access the Library, etc. Registration forms can be obtained at the Admission department or you can apply online.
2.  Academic registration: This step is done with the teachers, and involves choosing majors and options to enable students to pass the exams. This step is mandatory for students in order to obtain their degree/diplomas.
Changing your Major
It is possible to change a course or a Major within the three weeks following the beginning of the courses. In this case, a personal statement is written to the Executive Director before the announced deadline (Please check with the Admission Department as the date is changed each semester)
Accreditation and Credit Transfer
Accreditation
Just as in Paris, the identical prestigious programmes are taught by professors from the Sorbonne. Also, the degrees are granted from Paris, and are recognized world wide
Credit Transfer
The Paris-Sorbonne University-Abu Dhabi follows the new European Community System of Higher Education, called in French, the License-Masters-Doctorate (LMD) system (equivalent to Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees).
  • The Licence (BA) which can be obtained in three years after Baccalaureate
  • Then a Masters, in a further two years after BA degree
  • Then finally a Doctorate, in another further three years after Master’s degree
About ECTS
These European Credits measure the student’s work as a whole (examinations results, training courses and personal work required...). The acquired ECTS are cumulative and accepted in France and Europe.
A degree will be granted only if written and oral examinations have taken over the period. (Continuous assessment and/or final written semester exams)
Visa Procedure
Residence visa: Before your arrival, the university will complete the necessary formalities for your visa and the mandatory medical insurance. Visa application form- click here
Before departure: Make sure that your passport is valid for more than six months with three blank pages and no visa to Israel.
