Cooperation agreement between Sorbonne Abu Dhabi and the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Paris
Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi represented by professor Eric Fouache has signed a cooperation agreement with the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Paris Ile-de-France represented by Mrs. Marianne Conde Salazar, Director of International Relations for Higher Education, aimed at enhancing the collaboration of the two entities on human resource training and development of UAE Nationals skills and qualifications.
The agreement includes a series of training programs carefully designed to face the existing challenges of the workplace and provide the necessary skills to take advantage of available opportunities through an extensive scheme that will help equip local job seekers with the essential tools to enter the job market. In addition, the cooperation will pave the way to the development of specific plans for local leaders and managers and for UAE Nationals of all levels to achieve their full potential, exceed the expected results and administer the required support for their staff.
Professor Eric Fouache, Director of Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi said: “The program aims at equipping high-level executives and UAE Nationals with the basics of management and build their skills in human resource, finance, marketing and leadership while providing valuable insights into the most recent theories and best practices of those fields”.
The courses of the programs include a comprehensive range of business topics to be taught by world class faculty members from the University and the Chamber of Industry & Commerce. Their objective is to explore business strategies and models, and link the concepts with the realities of the business”, he added. The training will include both individual and group work with the support of the Chamber’s business schools and collaboration of many highly professional trainers.
According to Professor Fouache, “the program offers many professional benefits to participants as it helps them advance and expand their horizons in the face of work challenges and pressures, while enhancing their management skills (in the fields of strategic planning, finance, marketing and leadership) with the possibility of learning first hand from a number of global Chief Executive Officers”
He is confident that the training programs launched by the university to develop the UAE job market will provide a fresh outlook of the business world to interns and particularly UAE Nationals with out-of-the-box insights and new knowledge from which they can draw their inspiration. The daily encounter and interaction with some of the leading thinkers and business pioneers will provide them an outstanding opportunity to understand the best sectors and locally unfamiliar jobs so that they contribute more efficiently to the strategic growth of their companies.
He concluded: “Managers and leaders of private and UAE companies from various nationalities and different sectors will attend the training. Mixed classes are crucial to executive training programs as they provide the ideal platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise with an interactive educational approach”.
