Paris-Sorbonne University and Agence France-Muséums have joined their efforts to offer a Master degree in “History of Art and Museum Studies” in the framework of Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (PSUAD) and The Louvre museum Abu Dhabi. The program scopes History of Art, Archeology and Museum Studies.   

Georges Molinié, President of Paris-Sorbonne University and President of PSUAD Board of Management; Henri Loyrette, Chairman-director of the Musée du Louvre and chairs the Board of Scientific Directors of Agence France-Muséums; and Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière major sponsor of the Louvre, chairs the Board of Directors of Agence France-Muséums have released the statement of the opening of this thriving master program indicating that the academic committee of the program will be L’Ecole de Louvre and the Study and Research Department (U.F.R.) of Art and Archaeology at Paris-Sorbonne University. The program is to be taught at the new campus of PSUAD in Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi.

These two institutions - being partners for the first time for launching this academically exceptional project- possess experience and expertise respectively: The scientific brilliance backed by prestigious scientific research centers; and recognized expertise in the science of museums organization and the strong ties it enjoys with the major French museums and public art collections.
