The European Credits Transfer System (ECTS)

These European Credits measure the student’s work as a whole (examinations results, training courses and personal work required...). The acquired ECTS are cumulative and accepted in France and Europe. A degree will be granted only if written and oral examinations have taken place over the period.

LMD

The Paris-Sorbonne University-Abu Dhabi follows the new European Community System of Higher Education, called, in French, the License-Masters-Doctorate (LMD) system (equivalent to Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees).
The University offers 3 levels of diploma:

The Licence (BA) which can be obtained in three years after Baccalaureate

Then a Masters, in a further two years after BA degree

Then finally a Doctorate, in another further three years after Master’s degree.
