Abu Dhabi, UAE, 29 May 2026 - The UAE has made its ambition to be at the forefront of using artificial intelligence in the public and private sectors abundantly clear.
Dr. Xavier Fresquet, head of the Sorbonne Centre for Artificial Intelligence at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, recently contributed to a feature article in The National exploring how agentic AI is expected to reshape government services, policymaking and business operations across the UAE. Discussing the evolution of AI-powered public services, he said that interactions with government systems would increasingly “be mediated by agents capable of understanding the texture of the ordinary world”.
