In an interview with Aletihad marking Emirati Women's Day, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi's Farah Albeshr, Head of the Student Experience Division, spoke about what progress looks like in her own career.
For Farah, growth comes from learning through experience and using it to open doors for others, a view shaped by her own path, including studying abroad before returning to SUAD in a leadership role. She's also seen a marked shift in how much trust is placed in Emirati women today, who are increasingly relied upon to shape institutions and steer decisions, not just take part in them.
"Women in the UAE are not simply invited to participate; they are trusted to lead, to make decisions, to shape institutions and to help set the direction of the country," says Farah.
