Thinking Artificial Intelligence Differently

Not a day goes by without artificial intelligence making its way into our conversations. It promises to transform our societies, our economies, our professions, and the ways we learn, create, and make decisions. But beyond the discourse, the promises, and sometimes even the fantasies, one question remains: what does AI truly say about our world - and what does it say about us?

France and the United Arab Emirates now occupy a leading position in the development of and reflection on artificial intelligence. Two countries deeply committed to innovation, but also to the responsibility of thinking critically about its uses, its limits, and its impact. In this context, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi has chosen to give the floor to those who keep critical thinking alive: its faculty members. Scholars from diverse disciplines - science, law, philosophy, sports, economics, literature, and the social sciences - united by a shared commitment: taking the time to understand.

Through this podcast series, we sought to create a space for dialogue between faculties, a place where knowledge intersects, ideas are challenged, and perspectives are enriched. Not to provide ready-made answers, but to shed light on key issues, ask the right questions, and open the debate.

Artificial intelligence is not a single topic: it cuts across disciplines, reshapes boundaries, and challenges our certainties. That is why we invited our faculty members to offer a broad perspective, informed by their expertise and critical insight.

Welcome to Year of AI, an invitation to think about artificial intelligence differently - together.
