During the year, students are introduced to a range of pertinent subjects related to the management of sports institutions including sport law, sport communication, financial management, sport event management and sponsorship and marketing. Students will learn about the planning and management of sports institutions through a variety of specialised modules designed to give the student a well-rounded perspective of management. Topics include contract law, financial planning, sponsorship agreements, event management and communication amongst others.
There are abundant rewarding career opportunities on a regional and global scale for graduates of the Urban and Regional Planning programme. Graduates enter promising careers with engineering and design consultancy firms, urban or rural developers, real estate agencies, government enterprises involved with urban affairs, environmental management, community development and research agencies amongst others.
