In a deprived city in Central America, an oil company offers a high bonus to anyone accepting to drive two lorries loaded with high explosive nitroglycerin on a 500 km rough road to extinguish a fire in an oil well. Four adventurers decide to take on this challenge.
About Henri Georges-Clouzot
Henri-Georges Clouzot (1907-1977) is a French filmmaker which movies were awarded at major European festivals. Acclaimed for his thrillers (the murderer lives at Number 21 (1942), Quai des orfèvres (1947), The Wages of Fear (1953) The Devils (1954), he is known as the « French Hitchcock ». He has also produced « the Mystery Picasso » (1956); a documentary on the painter’s methods. The Wages of Fear (1953) is considered one the greatest movies from the 50’s.
