Synopsis

This 1998 Brazilian-French drama film tells the story of the moving relationship between a young homeless boy and an embittered middle-aged woman. Directed by prominent Brazilian filmmaker Walter Salles, the film received critical acclaim worldwide and has won numerous awards including the Best Foreign Language Film at the 56th Golden Globe Awards.

This event is in cooperation with the embassy of Brazil in the United Arab Emirates and the French Alliance in Abu Dhabi.
