Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi Theatre Group welcomes back the audiences to the theatre. This season, the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi Theatre Group revisits a script written by students who courageously worked online during the pandemic, translating award-winning play written by Wajdi Mouawad’s – Willy Protagoras enfermé dans les toilettes. Directed by Sol Abiad, with video art segments by Drazen Lucic, the show stars Cheick Abdrahamane Sangare, Malick Kouassi Traore, Maria Gregoric, Mathilde Ahmed and Rami Baba
An allegory of war, displacement and isolation, all too ominous in a post-pandemic world, the play is a burlesque, dark comedy with a twist. The SUAD Theatre Group has taken on the challenge of this hybrid experiment, combining theatre and film – UAE based actors on stage interact with on-screen actors located abroad
