A Mesmerising Piano Concert at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi

Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi hosted on campus a piano concert titled “DANSONS À QUATRE MAINS” featuring the renowned pianists Galina Besner, a professor of Musical Awakening at the French Alliance in Abu Dhabi, and Marie Sontag Piano teacher at the French Alliance in Abu Dhabi. The concert was attended by more than one hundred visitors as well as the university’s students and employees.

The two artists performed famous classical piano pieces by world-class pianists and composers such as Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Antonín Dvořák, Khachaturian, Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns, and Georges Bizet. The concert took the attendees on a musical journey of discovery across civilizations and allowed them to experience the world of dancing throughout centuries and cultures, from France to Armenia, from ballroom dances to the dance of death and from classic to jazz. The concert was a token of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi’s commitment to enhancing student experience with cross cultural experiences and is also part of the university’s continuous community engagement activities.

The evening was truly mesmerizing and soul enriching experience that ended with warm applause from the audience.
