Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi Student Awarded a Scholarship from Goethe-Institut Germany

Mamadou Coulibaly, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi’s L2 student in Philosophy and Sociology, was recently awarded a scholarship by the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region to attend a one-month German language course at Goethe-Institut Germany. This scholarship comes in light of the mutual partnership between Goethe-Institut Gulf Region and Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, which has been ongoing since 2015.

The scholarship awarding ceremony was attended by Ms. Svea Lang, Head of the Language Department Goethe-Institut Gulf Region, Dr Elizabeth Zollmann, Head of Applied Foreign Languages Department Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, and Sabine Karpf, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi Lecturer in the Applied Foreign Languages Department.

Dr Elisabeth Zollmann, Head of Applied Foreign Languages Department, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi said: “We are thrilled that one of our students has been awarded this prestigious scholarship, it is a testament of the strong partnership between Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and Goethe-Institut Gulf Region which reflects our commitment to providing our students with opportunities for enhancing their skills and for further development”.
