SUAD's Prof. Giulia De Masi joins experts at Yas SeaWorld Science Talk on marine conservation technology

We are proud to highlight that Dr. Giulia De Masi, Associate Professor in Mathematics at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and researcher in marine AI, recently participated in the Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Centre Science Talk. Under the theme of "Technology for Marine Conservation”, the discussion brought together leading researchers to explore how artificial intelligence and robotics are shaping the future of ocean protection.

The Science Talk series forms part of the Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Centre’s community engagement initiatives, aimed at promoting awareness and knowledge of science, conservation, and the natural history of the Arabian region.

During the talk, she presented her latest work on AI-driven multi-robot systems for large-scale marine monitoring, contributing to discussions on how emerging technologies can enhance environmental observation and conservation efforts.
