For Nasser Akoun, also a law student, the University serves as a concrete springboard into professional life. Thanks to the Career Centre and the legal clinic, he completed an internship at ADNOC, met industry professionals and discovered the profession of lawyer from the inside, while improving his English and benefiting from the accessibility of lecturers.

Fatima Al Sayegh describes her Foundation Year in intensive French as being shaped by modern teaching methods, including interactive quizzes and the ‘NORA’ chatbot, enabling real-time interaction similar to authentic conversations and helping her reach a B2 level. Francophone initiatives and French-language events (such as The Grand Oral of Sorbonne Abu Dhabi, CinéArt Sorbonne, Taste of France, French Day, Dictation of the Ocean and Dictation of the Francophonie) have transformed language learning into a living experience, one that encourages understanding, participation and confident debate. 

For her, language became a tool for thinking, communicating and projecting herself into an international academic and professional environment. Learning a language as an adult, she reflects, is like rediscovering the joy of speaking for the first time: a door opening to others… and to oneself.

Adam Ouali, a Tunisian student in Mathematics specialising in Data Science for Artificial Intelligence, emphasises the friendliness and openness of the student community: “Most of the time, I feel surrounded by peers from different cultures, and every encounter is enriching.” 

Cruz Isa Alassia Sarmiento, from Argentina, observes how this diversity shapes learning:[Text Wrapping Break]“We study side by side with students from five continents, learning not only our subjects but also their languages and cultures.”
