As part of the University's ongoing academic and cultural programming, students took part in two educational visits to the Sea of Culture Foundation book fair this September, engaging with lectures on philosophy, history, and strategic thought.
On 16 September 2026, students from the LEA Department attended a lecture titled "The Place of Women in Averroes' Thought," delivered by Dr. Ibrahim Bourchachin of Mohamed Bin Zayed University. Held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the session gave students the chance to explore intellectual and cultural perspectives on the status of women through the lens of Averroes' philosophy.
The following day, 17 September, students from the History Department took part in a second visit to the Foundation, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. They attended a lecture on "Historical Documents and Strategic Foresight," presented by Dr. Abdullah Majed Al Ali, Director of the National Archives. The talk examined the role of historical documentation and its connection to strategic foresight, offering students insight into how historical sources can inform both present understanding and future planning.
Both visits reflect the University's continued commitment to enriching student learning beyond the classroom, connecting academic disciplines with wider cultural and intellectual life.
