Rene Reimann is the Senior Director Quantum Sensing at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) in Abu Duabi. His team develops quantum sensing hardware for real-world applications with a current focus on magnetometry and inertial sensing.
Before joining TII in 2020, Rene worked for 5 years on levitated systems, first as Postdoc, then as Senior Scientific Assistant in the group of Lukas Novotny at the Photonics Laboratory at ETH Zurich in Switzerland.
Rene received his PhD in Physics in 2014 from the University of Bonn in Germany, where he worked on cold atom technologies in the quantum technologies group of Dieter Meschede.
