A young man obsessed by the idea that some men are above the law, becomes a pickpocket and deliberately draw the police’s attention.
About Robert Bresson
Robert Bresson (1901-1999) is considered one of the greatest French filmmaker, especially by the new wave movement filmmakers (François Truffaut and Jean-Luc Godard) for whom he is a pioneer. For Bresson, Cinema is not a filmed theater play but rather images and sounds expressing the inner personality of the characters. He believes in minimalist play role and often call for nonprofessional actors. His most acclaimed movies are A man escaped (1956), Au hasard Balthazar (1966), L’argent (1983).
