Leisure and Self-Training
At Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (SUAD), we believe in promoting an active lifestyle not only through structured programs but also by offering opportunities for leisure and self-training. Our goal is to provide students, staff, and community members with the freedom and flexibility to engage in sports and fitness activities at their own pace, outside of scheduled classes and team sports.
Leisure Sports and Activities :
For those who prefer recreational sports, SUAD offers a wide range of options that allow for casual participation and enjoyment. These include:
- Football,Basketball, and Volleyball: Play with friends or join open sessions on our outdoor fields and courts.
- Tennis and Badminton: Available for individual or group practice, perfect for those looking to improve their skills or just have fun.
- Climbing Wall: Accessible for those interested in climbing at their own pace or in a relaxed setting.
Self-Training Opportunities :
For individuals looking to train independently, we offer access to our fully equipped gym, which includes:
- Football, Basketball, and Volleyball: Play with friends or join open sessions on our outdoor fields and courts.
- Tennis and Badminton:Free weights, resistance machines, and functional training spaces.
- Fitness Studio: Available for personal practice in activities like yoga, Pilates, or circuit training.
The flexibility of self-training allows students and staff to pursue their personal fitness goals on their own schedule, whether it’s building strength, improving endurance, or simply staying active.
In addition to leisure and self-training options, SUAD offers the SCAP program, allowing members of the wider community to access our sports activities and facilities. This initiative enables everyone students, faculty, and the public to engage in recreational and self-paced fitness at SUAD by purchasing a membership or payment package.
For those new to fitness or seeking specific advice, our sports staff are available to offer guidance on exercise routines, gym equipment use, and training techniques. Personalized assistance is available to help you create a self-training plan that fits your fitness level and goals.
