Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the French Institute of the United Arab Emirates and “Sauve qui peut le court métrage,” is pleased to invite you to the first Spring Cinema event on our campus.
For our inaugural edition, we are honored to welcome Mr. Tim Redford, Executive Director of the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival. This festival, held annually, is the world’s largest festival dedicated to short films in terms of attendance. It is also the second-largest French film festival after Cannes.
In France, “short films” refer to films with a length of less than 90 minutes (less than 33 minutes, less than three reels in 35 mm).During this screening, Mr. Redford will present five short films from the 2023 edition. The audience and our students will have the opportunity to share their impressions on the short film format and to learn about filmmaking.
