Poetry Night

We are pleased to invite you to Poetry Night, an enchanting evening celebrating the beauty of words and expression. This special event will feature a renowned Emirati poet Dr.Talal Saeed Abdullah Al Jneibi known for his eloquent verses on heritage, identity, and human emotions. His captivating poetry has earned him a distinguished place in contemporary Arabic literature.

About the Poet

Dr Talal

Dr.Talal Saeed Abdullah Al Jneibi is a university professor and international expert in organizational behavior and human resource management, as well as a businessman, writer, and poet from the United Arab Emirates. He holds a PhD in Human Resource Management from Newcastle Northumbria University in the United Kingdom, which he earned with honors in 2001.

Dr. Al Jneibi has received numerous prestigious awards, including the UAE President’s Award (Khalifa Al Fakhr) in 2015 for his intellectual contributions, the Abu Dhabi Appreciation Award in 2017 for cultural achievement, the Poetic Excellence Shield from the GCC General Secretariat, the Sheikh Zayed Humanitarian Award, and the UAE Award for Humanitarian and Intellectual Contributions in 2019. In 2020, he was named “Global Poet” by the European Parliament, becoming the first Arab poet to receive this title. He has also won the Rashid Award for Academic Excellence twice, in addition to receiving numerous other honors, awards, and recognitions.

Dr. Al Jneibi has published thirteen poetry collections, and his poems have been included in the UAE’s educational curricula, with some adapted into national and social anthems. His works have also been studied in Arab and international universities, with his poetic journey analyzed in master’s and doctoral theses as well as scholarly critiques.

Several of his poems have won first-place awards in local and international competitions. He is distinguished by his unique “vocal signature” style in poetry. His works have been translated into 16 languages, and in 2022, he was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature. He also made history with his poem “Zayed Space”, which became the first-ever poetic text to be sent into space, marking a groundbreaking achievement for global, Arab, and Emirati poetry.
