Abstract

The seminar seeks to examine the role that records officers, managers, and archival institutions play in ensuring that records are managed in an environmentally sustainable manner which in turn translates to sustainable development. It seeks to raise awareness about the important role that records managers and archivists can play in ensuring sustainability and sustainable development in line with the spirit and aspirations of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The seminar falls within the History department’s research project on “Greening Information Management” and Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi’s strategic pillar on “Sustainability”.
