Kosmas Pavlopoulos
Professor of Geology-Geomorphology at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi
Kosmas Pavlopoulos is a Professor at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi since 2013 and he is a recognized specialist in the field of Geomorphology, Geoarchaeology, Quaternary Geology, structural geology-tectonics, sea level changes, Hydrogeology, Environmental Geology and Natural Hazards, in the South Europe, Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East. His research focuses on the sediment’s records in arid and semi-arid areas, geomorphological evolution of marginal landscapes, on the relative sea level changes, on the hydrogeology and the rivers dynamic, on water resources management and on natural hazards. He has participated in 85+ research projects, in 27 of which as coordinator. He has more than 190 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals (85 currently shown in Scopus) and his work received more than 1213 citations (h-index = 21, co-authors 181, source Scopus), (184 currently shown in Research Gate), 2053 citations (h-index = 25, RG score=33.36, 186 co-authors, source Research Gate), 2371 citations (h-index = 27, i10-index=59, source Google Scholar).
